Trade Union Confederation (TUC) has announced The Best OH&ampS company of the Year

Based on official statistic 60-65 of injuries occur to construction sector.  This problem become one the main topic in TUC agenda. Many programs are being implemented as a preventive measures and one of this is program evaluation working environment among companies and select the best one.

This year The Trade Union Confederation of the Republic of Azerbaijan has awarded the best enterprises of the year “on the creation of healthy and safe working conditions”. During the year, activities of nearly 2000 enterprises and organizations have been monitored and evaluated in terms of labour safety standards. “Holcim Azerbaijan” Company has won the competition.

Mubariz Mammadov, the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Company, said: "Health and Safety of the employees is a priority issue for us, and we make no compromise in this area. This achievement once again proves that the employees of the company are professionals in the field of the occupational health and safety. It is our main duty to conduct propaganda among the employees, to increase their awareness and to comply with local regulations and international standards."

“We are accountable for our own and colleagues safety. These achievement shows that safe activities have already become our daily lifestyle and a part of our culture. However, we  always keep one’s finger on pulse and prevent incidents by assessing risks at the beginning of each working day. Given this, daily and monthly trainings and practical sessions are held for the employees”- Frederic Guimbal, General Director said.
