The memory of the Martyrs is eternal

Holcim Garadagh Cement Plant with a 70-year history, has strong perception in people's mind as a producer of quality cement. Company's activities diverse of many glorious and sad moments. It is gratifying that the Company has repeatedly received awards in the OH&S, production, and CSR. However, limited number of people aware about Holcim bold and brave employees. In 1991-1993, during the Karabakh War, about 40 employees of Garadagh Cement Plant fought in the war and 7 of them were martyred in defense of their homeland. The plant staff together with management holds their memory dear and, as every year, the Armed Forces Day was celebrated by Holcim Azerbaijan company. Meetings were held with Veteran workers and members of the Martyrs` families and discussions were held on the issues of carrying out patriotic work with young people. Veteran workers shared their memories of the Martyrs and their impressions. At the end, the employees of the Company visited the monument commemorating the martyred employees: Kazimov Telman, Javadov Aliheydar, Azizov Elchin, Sultanov Ugur, Fatullayev Bakhtiyar, Ashrafov Ozar, Vladimir Modin. 

Our Martyrs are always in the heart of our employees, and they will never be forgotten. May our Martyrs` souls rest in peace.
