6th International LafargeHolcim Forum for Sustainable Construction 

Since its inception, the Foundation has conducted six Forums. The 6th International LafargeHolcim Forum, dedicated to the topic of “Re-materializing Construction”, was hosted by the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt. It took place from April 4 to 6, 2019.  

More than 350 leading thinkers and practitioners from architecture, engineering, urban planning, materials technology, and the building and construction industry from 55 countries met in Cairo to accelerate how “Re-materializing Construction” contributes to creating a more sustainable built environment. CEO Jan Jenisch, Exco member Miljan Gutovic, and representatives of 14 LafargeHolcim Countries, Geocycle, the Research & Development Center and various Function Heads networked with experts and researchers, actively contributing to the success of the Forum.
