Work from Home  – FAQs

 

1. Who is eligible for home working?

This is an ‘enforced’ situation and so, employees whose duties can be conducted remotely, unless informed otherwise by Line Managers, shall work from home.

2. What happens with Plant Operations?

Plant operations are critical to the business and as such will work out specific arrangements/schedules to ensure the plant continues to run under the circumstances. Support services will also be scheduled and arranges such that there will be no gaps in the operations.

3. Will I still be paid if I work from home?

Yes. As the situation is enforced by the organization, employees will receive pay as and at when due. The situation will continue to be reviewed and monitored and any updates/changes will be communicated.

4. Are there core working Hours?

Yes, core hours for this situation shall be 9am – 4pm. Anyone working from home will be expected to be available to work (phone, online) between the designated hours.

5. Am I bound to respond to requests/phone-calls?

The terms of the employees’ contract and expectations therein still apply. In any case, as responsible professionals, employees are expected to act in a way that is accountable and responsible for the sustainability of the organization

6. What work will I do?

Employees will be assigned work and deliverables by their line manager. Line Managers will also be responsible for supervision and accountability.

7. What do I do if I get ill while at home?

Employees who are ill during this period should report, as is customary, to their primary care provider and follow the instructions/guidelines of their providers. In addition to this, employees are also required to inform the Chief of Clinic (Dr. Elshad Rzayev, 050 3221982) and/ orPersonnel & Admin Manager (Alesker Akbarov, 050 8878724), /orSafety Manager (Vadim Garibov, 055 776,8333)if they experience any of the reported symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. More importantly, such employees should self-isolate immediately and practice social distancing.

8. What if I do not have the tools required to work effectively from home?

Line managers will determine who in their teams are essential to their function operations and as such will ensure the necessary tools and access are available for use.

9. What if I don’t have internet connectivity?
